Why we verify your identity
Before Lorica can move money for you, we're required to confirm who you are. This is standard for any service that touches bank payments, and it protects you against someone using your information.
How it works
When you sign up, your identity is verified through our banking partner, Legend Bank, using the details you provide — your name, date of birth, and address. Most people are verified in moments.
If verification needs a second look
Sometimes a check can't confirm everything on the first pass — often a small mismatch like an old address. If that happens, you may be asked for a bit more information. Until verification clears, Lorica can't start moving money, so your automation waits.
Where your identity details live
The identity documents used for verification are held by our banking partner, not by Lorica. Lorica keeps only the outcome of the check, so it knows your account is cleared to run. (See "Your data and privacy.")
