Can I pay someone else's debt through Lorica?

No. Lorica only pays debts in your own name, funded from a bank account verified as yours.

No. Lorica only pays debts that are in your own name.

Why

Every link in the chain is tied to you:

  • Your clearing account is titled in your name alone.

  • The bank account funding it has to be verified as yours.

  • Your debts come from your own credit file, and each creditor account is verified as yours before any payment goes out.

There's no step where someone else's account can be added, and we don't build one in.

What this rules out

You can't add a partner's credit card, a parent's loan, or a friend's balance — even if you're the one paying it in practice. If the account isn't yours, Lorica can't service it.

Joint accounts

Joint accounts are less clear-cut, and it depends on the account. If you share an account with someone else and you'd like it in your plan, message us and we'll check that specific account with you first.

Why we're strict about this

Moving money to accounts that aren't yours is how payment platforms get used for things they shouldn't be. Keeping every account verified and in your name protects you, and keeps your account clean.
