Two ways to order your payoff
Lorica pays your debts in a set order, and you choose which one. Both put every spare dollar toward one target debt at a time, then roll to the next once it's cleared. The difference is which debt goes first.
Avalanche — least interest paid
Avalanche targets your highest interest rate first. Because your most expensive debt gets knocked out soonest, you pay the least interest overall and reach debt-free fastest. It's the default, and for most people it's the cheaper path.
Snowball — quickest wins
Snowball targets your smallest balance first. You clear whole accounts sooner, which can feel motivating and shortens your list faster. It usually costs a little more in total interest than avalanche, but the momentum works for some people.
Which should you pick?
If you want the lowest-cost payoff, choose avalanche. If seeing accounts disappear keeps you going, choose snowball. Either way, Lorica always covers the minimum on every debt first, so nothing falls behind. You can switch anytime.
